GL today Pittviper. Why do you like the Red Sox so much on the road? It's a high number to lay on the road against a team who is due for a win.

I agree with pitt. It's really not a lot to lay on a good team against a BAD team. Yes, every team is due to a point, but people thought that on all the teams the yanks' played this past week. Arroyo is a much better pitcher and he has hitting behind him. Saarloos is a bad pitcher with no offense. Red sox coming off a loss are even more potent. Good luck

Thanks walk...

Let's start with pitching:
Bronson Arroyo: ERA, 2.91... Record 4-0, in 7 games started, Has only allowed 15 runs in 46 Innings pitched, in those 46.1 innings pitched has allowed a combined 50 Hits/Walks!

Kirk Saarloos: ERA, 5.09... Record 1-2, in 7 games started, has allowed 20 runs in 35 innings pitched, in those 35.1 innings pitched has allowed a combined 50 Hits/ Walks!

COmparison: Arroyo better era! Same amount of starts, Arroyo has pitched 11 more innings though, meaning he has pitched alot better then Kirk! Arroyo has pitched 11 more innings ther kirk, yet he has given up the same amount of hits/walks!

Boston is 11-10 on the road, 15-11 vs. Right handed starters! They are 13-9 in night games!
Oakland is 7-11 at home, 10-20 vs. Right handed starters! They are 8-15 in night games!
Boston is 3-0 vs. Oakland this season!

Batting:
Boston is averaging 4.9 runs , hitting .276 with an on base percentage of 0.355, on the road!
Boston is averaging 5.8 runs , hitting .284 with an on base percentage of 0.362, vs. right handed starters!

Oakland is averaging 3.7 runs , hitting .243 with an on base percentage of 0.303, on the road!
Oakland is averaging 3.5 runs , hitting .233 with an on base percentage of 0.303, vs. right handed starters!

Oakland's bullpen has been a little bit better then Boston's, but I do not think bullpen's will be a factor today... I like boston alot in this game!

I guess you could say Oakland is due, as they have lost 7 in a row... But they are up against a very good pitcher, and a very good hitting team of Boston!

Go BO SOX!

I agree pitt. Boston is the play. As long as boston gets a 2-3 run lead and Foulke can hold on. He was better in his last outing so we should be fine. It pains me to say this, as a yankees fan, but go red sox! lol
