Considering he hasn't won since April 21 and has gotten only 3.84 runs of support per game in 2011, this is little more than a toss-up. … Brian Matusz may pitch only six innings as he slowly gets back into the mix, which leaves little room for error. Still, you have to like his 3-1 record against the Tampa Bay Rays. … Francisco Liriano threw way too many pitches -- he needed 81 to get through five innings -- in his return from the disabled list. We're erring on the side of caution with him. Still, he's better than his mound foe, Matt Harrison, who owns a 9.64 ERA in games facing the Minnesota Twins. … Poor track records to note: Chris Capuano is 3-7 with a 6.54 ERA against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Edinson Volquez has a career ERA of 8.31 versus the San Francisco Giants and Brett Myers is a sad 4-10 against the Atlanta Braves with a 4.43 ERA. … Lastly, any time a pitcher allows six earned runs in five innings and lowers his ERA to 17.47?
