Rangers offseason

Cliff Lee bought a new pair of cowboy boots so it's pretty obvious he's staying

Rangers just made a 3 billion dollar tv deal that will help with signings.....would love to see Victor Martinez in Arlington.....the flexibility he offers (1B, catch, DH) would be great and supposedly he is a good guy in the clubhouse...

I have a dream........

We sign Cliff......he decides the dough he saves on income tax in Texas is close enough to what the Yanks offer

We trade for Grienke........have to give up 3 good prospects

We sign Victor Martinez....catches most night, spells Vlad at DH time to time, and also plays some 1st

Lineup looks like:
Elvis SS
Young 3B
Hamilton CF
Vlad DH
Nelly RF
Ian 2B
Martinez C
Murphy LF
Moorland 1B

Rotation: Cliff, Grienke, CJ, Colby, Hunter

If Cliff does go to Yanks, still go after Grienke, move Feliz to rotation, and sign Soriano to close

Fingers crossed

really want Grienke that bad after giving up so much for Lee? Would like to see Lee sign with the Rangers. Am very interested to see if they spend right away with the new TV deal or take a few years to put bankruptcy behind them.

They gave up Smoak for Lee......if Moreland keeps developing it Smoak won't be missed.

And yes, would love to have both Lee and Grienke.....hoping the Rangers are using the potential of adding Grienke to lure Lee in

Rangers have signed Torrealba to a 2 yr deal after missing out on Victor........also lots of rumors surrounding the Rangers talking to Andy Pettitte......exploring Pettitte is worth a shot given he is a native Texan, has a relationship with Nolan Ryan (from his Astro days) and his home in Deer Park is near the Dallas area......Rangers are also rumored to still be in the hunt for Zach Grienke, esp if Cliff signs with the Yanks......Brandon Webb is on the radar as well and the Rangers should be able to get a good feel for his situation given Webb's surgeon is on the Rangers payroll

why do you refer to kinsler by just ian? don't think that dude has done enough to warrant just a first name...elvis i can see...not because of production, but because of the name itself

Rev......my comments about the boots were obviously sarcastic, hence the

Ups......it was only a dream, especially seeing as how Martinez already signed with Detroit....
