recommend a total & Run Line.

Boston at Cleveland

Playing on the total on this one, even though i like the Sox to win straight up.
The total is at this time set at 9.5,in which I like the "over" in this contest.
HERE'S WHY:
Boston is 13-7 and have shown how deadly their offense can be. Kevin Youkilis has been the best player in the American League, while Pedroia and Ellsbury continue to perform at an all-star level. That is the core-three of this team, all players raised out of the farm system as home-grown products. My personal favorite on this team is Jason Bay.So tonight the Sox look to start a new winning streak and who better to send to the mound than Jon Lester? This game is set up for him to dominate. To start the season, he has not pitched nearly what he is capable of and he is coming off a loss. Lester is pristine. Through his first four starts, Lester is 1-2 with a 4.88 ERA. Last year Lester went 1-0 in two starts verse the Tribe with a 4.35 ERA. Look for Jason Bay once again to be the clutch hitter for The Nation.

The Cleveland Indians are following last year’s start to this year’s with another disappointing performance early in the year. The Tribe are 8-13. Their hitting has not been the problem. They have combined for 27 home runs and 102 RBIs as a team while hitting .267 from the plate. Mark DeRosa has four homers and 17 RBIs, Victor Martinez has five homers and 10 RBIs while hitting .388 from the plate and lead-off man, Grady Sizemore has six home runs and 18 RBIs. So hitting-wise they have no problem as a nice power and average combo will be there. Pitching-wise, it is another story. They have a team ERA of 5.93. Tonight’s starter is Fausto Carmona, and he has been just awful in every which way. Through four starts he is 1-3 with a 7.36 ERA. Carmona did have one start against the Sox last year. This is how it went: 1 Inning, 5 hits, and 4 runs, which comes out to a 36.00 ERA. If the Indians plan on winning two straight, they will need to have a good pitching performance from Fausto, as well as from their bullpen. Don’t count on either of those things happening.

recommend:"OVER" 9.5

Washington at Philadelphia

The Phillies have torn up left-handed pitching this year, going 4-0 with a .340 batting average and scroing 9.7 runs per game. That means they should have a hey day today against Scott Olsen, who has given up 16 runs on 23 hits in 14 innings as a vistior this year. Bretty Myers hasn’t given up an ER in his last two starts against Washington, totaling 16 innings and with the Phillies winning five in a row, all by more than a single run.

recommend:Philadelphia "Run Line" -1.5
