Red Sox David Ortiz Wants To Play 3-4 More Years

Ortiz wants to play another three, four years
David Ortiz - DH - BOS - Mar. 3
David Ortiz said Wednesday morning that he wants to play another "three, four more years" and finish his career with the Red Sox.
"The Red Sox know what I am, even knowing what happened last year," said Ortiz. "I’m a guy that, I put a lot of enthusiasm into what I do. And it’s up to them. I’m trying to say that I would like to end my career here ... It’s up to them." The club holds a $12.5 million option on Big Papi for the 2011 season, but it's not a sure bet that they will pick it up. He had a nine-year low 794 OPS last year and badly needs a bounceback season.

We'll see what happens this year. There has to be a point in time that he has to go. The run was good.

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
