Red Sox David Ortiz Wants To Play 3-4 More Years
Ortiz wants to play another three, four years
David Ortiz - DH - BOS - Mar. 3 David Ortiz said Wednesday morning that he wants to play another "three, four more years" and finish his career with the Red Sox. "The Red Sox know what I am, even knowing what happened last year," said Ortiz. "I’m a guy that, I put a lot of enthusiasm into what I do. And it’s up to them. I’m trying to say that I would like to end my career here ... It’s up to them." The club holds a $12.5 million option on Big Papi for the 2011 season, but it's not a sure bet that they will pick it up. He had a nine-year low 794 OPS last year and badly needs a bounceback season.
