They didn't pay Eovaldi 17 million a year to work in the bullpen. Only an idiot would think that.
They could make him the closer and all that would do is weaken the rotation and still mean they need more arms in the pen. Real fans don't care about yesterday, they care about tomorrow and right now, today, their pen is a fuckin joke. That is a fact and everyone in baseball has acknowledged that. Until he makes moves, that doesn't change for anyone except the pink hats who follow blindly. |

"Dombrowski said the team has candidates at closer in Ryan Brasier, Matt Barnes and even Steven Wright, and added that he could not say right now whether the Sox will go outside for a closer"
LOL - What a dumb fuckin decision that would be. A knuckleballer who would scare the hell out of you, a guy in Barnes that i fuckin hate or a guy who has had exactly a half season of good pitching in his career. Holy hell!!! ![]() |

Listed right now on the depth chart at ESPN. That could be the worst bullpen in baseball right now. Only dumb fucks and pink hats would argue that

There are DFA groups meeting now in the greater Boston area. People are given one of these when they walk in. It stands for Dumb Fucks Anonymous

For those who rely on others opinions, pink hats can be described as whoever you want it to be, not what others think. lmao
Another thing. No pink hat admits to it or actually realizes they are a dumb fuck. That is why there are meetings. Others all see it though. |

Shocking that a pink hat relies on Boston.com staff for their definitions
= Dumb fuck = pink hats |

So the Red Sox are 20 million higher than the 2nd payroll in MLB and they do not even have a defined closer? I guess we will see if they can buy another title, without a proven closer this time.

Yankees are the 2nd most valuable franchise in sports in the U.S. and the Red Sox have the highest payroll for the 3rd year running. I guess we know who is buying titles now.

And they have 1 lefty in the pen. A soft tossing lefty named Johnson. What if you need to bring the heat late in the game against a lefty? They have nothing and Johnson is never healthy. Dombrowski better wake the fuck up, and soon.

If the Red Sox are worried about the monster bullpen the Yankees are building to back up a record-setting offense, they sure don’t sound it.
Alex Cora, who led the Sox to the best record in baseball and a World Series title in his first year in the manager’s chair, spoke Thursday at the Boston chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America’s annual dinner and issued a dire warning to the rest of the league. “If you thought last year was special, wait till this year,” Cora told the crowd. The Red Sox won 108 games last season and ran away with the AL East, besting the second-place Yankees by eight games. Their offense led the AL in batting average, slugging percentage and runs scored, while their pitching staff was in the top three in ERA, strikeouts and ERA-plus. They breezed through the playoffs, beating the Yankees in four games and the Astros and Dodgers in five games apiece en route to the title. Outfielder Mookie Betts won the AL MVP award, Chris Sale finished fourth in the Cy Young race despite an injury-shortened season, and Cora finished second in the AL Manager of the Year voting. But apparently, none of that was enough for the defending champs. “They’re never satisfied,” Cora said. “If you start looking at some of the players we have … I do feel we’re going to be better. We’re going to be better, and hopefully we have some good luck in October.”

They won the WS. They feel no urgency to win again this year after that. They know the pink hats will fuckin defend anything they do after winning. It always happens.

That's why they never repeat and their 4 recent titles are 4-5 years apart. They always feel like they got carte blanche from all the fuckin pink hats who are slobbering over the victory for a couple of years. After that wears off the real fans get restless again and they try to win. Rinse & repeat. It's sickening!

Red Sox have almost the same exact payroll as last year. They basically took the Kimbrel money and split it between Betts & Pearce.
I heard Dombrowski on the radio this morning and all they kept asking him were questions about the bullpen. I mean non stop and he said he doesn't see them spending any more money or adding any more significant pieces. Wait, what? Are you fuckin kidding me? He feels comfortable with Brasier, Wright and Barnes in that role. When has bullpen by committee ever worked? If you bet this team it better be 1st 5 wagers because innings 7-9 will be a fuckin nightmare!!!!!!!! |

I also want to state that as a fan of a team that buys their gear and pays excessive amounts for tickets, you 100% have the right to be critical of them and what they are doing with the team. We are allowed to judge the President of the U.S. on his decisions, rate movies as we watch them and damn straight, talk about whether the moves our team is making are good or bad.
Comparing being critical to a GM to being critical of your doctor is almost as bad as saying a drug dealer is like someone who plays fantasy sports. Something is wrong with you mentally to think either is close. The doctor is a diagnosis. If you are critical of a GM it is simply your opinion. It is just a stupid comparison that i will talk no longer about. Signing scrubs off the scrap heap will do nothing to make me feel better or change my opinion on Dombrowski and his choices/moves this offseason. I don't give 2 fucks about last year. You are paid this year to do your job and win THIS season. So far i am not satisfied with what has been done. |
