Rick Porcello one of the most underrated pitchers in baseball

Please take him back in Detroit then. Would free up a roster spot!

It is Buchholz and he is slotted to go #2. Rodriguez will start the season on the DL and that leaves Porcello & Kelly

Honest question, why are the Sox expected to win so many games? Their roster doesn't impress me. What am I missing?

Many would say they added the best SP & Closer in the offseason so I think that is part of it. Many also think Betts & Boegarts are going to have big seasons and Pedroia has looked good and healthy again this spring. Not saying I agree with all of it but the 2 additions were nice

I was sort of wondering the same thigh, Sharp. They have very high-end skill at 4 positions (#1SP, Closer, SS & RF), no doubt but I just don't see the depth. People rail on the Jays pitching, (who return the same players that pitched well last year plus additions), but that Sox staff looks very thin to me, and the lineup isn't nearly as potent or deep as the Jays.
I actually like the Yankees to get 2nd this year and a possible WC. |

There is not one starting staff in the east that I like a lot, not one. |

I think every team in the East has multiple question marks. I think the Jays have less questions than the others, that's why they are my pick.

My prediction right now for Boston is around 84-85 wins. I think they will be bunched together with the O's, Yankees and Rays. All right around 80-85 wins and I see Toronto around to 90-91

![]() rotation is set , Nova to the pen. 1-4 isn't nearly as bad as a lot think. issue really is the lack of depth more than anything else. Tanaka starting 25+ games needs to happen too. |

Take off your homer goggles, their rotation is the garbage. They are not that good.

Mookie Betts is a STUD!!!

Not gonna lie I thought they would underachieve this year but they are off to a great start. And yes, Betts is a beast. Just need Bradley to play to his potential.

I can only hope the Sox will pay enough to keep Betts. He is one of those guys like trout or Harper.

Boston had zero grand slams last season. Moreland just hit their 5th grand slam this season in the 1st 3 weeks of play.

I’ve said way less than that and got myself banned from a discussion thread, watch out, big brother is watching, as far as the red Sox, Wayne called the over 8.5 yesterday I think, then Keith made the over 9 today, both winners, they are hitting the ball well as a team, have been riding them on the run line for awhile now

1st time no hit in 25 years. Kid pitched a great game but there were a couple of questionable play calls.
