The Reds for Real?

I have been so busy with the new job I have kind of been slipping on my bases coverage but just noticed the Reds are 9-6, what the hell happened? Legit team? I would love to see them stay competitive for once. Rob Dibble and Tom Browning arent walking through that door

I love the rotation of Harang, Volquez, and Arroyo and I think they'll be given good value all year and Volquez hasn't even pitched well yet

Young team with huge upside I will make one prediction by the end of the year Joey Votto will be the best offensive first baseman not named Albert in the National League, the guy could hit. They have a power pitching rotation with a good closer they could stay competitive till the summer IMO

Have you heard of some guys named Howard and Texiera. Votto is good but c'mon now.

I've seen Howard's name before...but where haven't I seen it? The AVG list, maybe?

As for Tex, last time I checked he wasn't an NL 1B anymore.

I agree that the Reds have a lot of upside. Their rotation can be solid, and it'll start and end with Harang. That guy has solid stuff, and when he's on he's damn near unhittable. Cueto needs to improve before this team can be considered a legitimate contender. But good for the Reds. Nice to see them off to such a good start.

Reds, good rotation, but their hitting needs to improve. I saw a stat "before their game yesterday" that as a team they are batting .208. That is going to have to vastly improve for them to be any sort of contenders. I know pitching wins games but you still have to string a couple of hits together at some point.
But I think they improve but just missing out on the playoffs.

Harry: I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

Lloyd: I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man.
