This move puts them just below the Pirates.

Must be talking about the Astros. And I think you are right. We now officially suck more than the Pirates.

can we clear something up? ... this is oswalt we are talking about ... there is only one ROY in philly, and he has been here since the start of the season.

Yeah the guy tends to fall in love with that slider and could easily beat teams with the fastball. It's a confidence thing with Lidge I think. Hopefully he get it together for the playoff run.

makes them better for sure so good move.

oswalt isnt the same elite pitcher he used to be, but he is def a good #3 guy for that rotation...

See Roy ahead of Cole Hamels before the season is over. #2 by playoff time.

Astros willing to eat money as well for better players, which means resigning Werth is still a possibility. This is awesome

Have you seen Hamels pitch recently ? Any zip he lost on his fastball from last season is back and no hovering back around 95 MPH making his 80 Change Up more devastating than already was. Cole back pitching to his MVP form making him the 1A to Halladay's 1.

And anyone suggesting Oswalt doesnt have it anymore is just plain wrong....the guy is having one of his better seasons of his career.
