Riggleman resigns
Nationals manager Jim Riggleman has resigned, his agent said.
Something must be going on unless he decided .500 best they will do and leave on top. Lol

I am seeing it's a result of his option not being picked up yet for next year and not being happy with his current compensation

Apparently he told GM this morning if his option wasn't picked up by the afternoon, he was quitting, and when it wasn't, he did

I agree, it appears he wasn't asking for an extension, just to have the option year picked up
Will be interesting if the players will back him or think he is quitting on them. Could go either way
