Ripper's MLB Card Friday 7/16

Going with:

Atlanta -175 1*
Braves best home team in baseball and 4-0 vs Brewers this season. Tommy Hanson has been inconsistent of late but the Braves are just playing so well at home. Also like the over in this game but not going to make a bet on it.

Houston -105 2*
Really just an affordable play against Pittsburgh. Brett Myers has been pitching better as of late (1 BB 3 ER last 13 innings against STL and SD). I think he will keep it going against a lineup that is not very potent.

and look at wolf's numbers vs the braves, he is like 4-15 lifetime with an era that is not good.

That is a good point Mike, but I tend to shy away from buying into too much of player vs. team because the team is never the same over a long course of time. The Braves vets do have some good #'s against him however. Also the Braves are something like 11-2 the last 13 vs. a lefty starter.
