Robbie Alomar misses HOF on 1st try?

Absolute travesty here people. This is why some of these pompous writers should spit on themselves when they do something like this.

Arguably the greatest 2nd baseman of all time, he shouldve made it easily on the 1st ballot.

Obvious snub for the spitting incident but its really unfair.

Its not the CLASS HOF, its the MLB HOF

If "The Hawk" has to wait 8 years Alomar can wait one. Dawson should have been in long ago imo. Think one year wait for spitting on an ump is fair. JMO

Alomar:
No MVP's

Dawson only 1 of 3 guy's in the 400 HR-300 SB club (Mays & Bonds) pretty good company. One of the best OF arms to ever play the game.

Position by position Dawson may not rank as high as Alomar but they are not that far apart. But for you to act like Alomar was far greater than Dawson is a joke.

Guess living in Houston and having seen really good 2nd baseman like Morgan and Biggio play Alomar just not that impressive to me.

Lets also not forget that Alomar was the best player on 2 world series champions

And Dawson was MVP for last place team

I love the Hawk, but Alomar will go down as a far better player

Congrats Andre Dawson

Blyleven working his way up. Alomar & Blyleven next year. They'll be better next year. It's so goofy

I loved how Biggio played but as for an all around 2b there is no comparison between the two. Alomar without a doubt in the past 50 years is the greatest second basemen in the game, and I would rank Morgan right behind. Alomars defense was even more incredible than what he could do offensively, and offensively he could do anything you needed from him.

And just to update something you said you are right he never won a regular season MVP but he did win the World Series MVP and I think he was happier getting that, lol!!!

Agree he will go down as the better player because he played 2nd base. Joe Carter was probably the best player on those 2 teams though not Alomar.

9 years ago Dawson wasn't good enough to be a HOF, Blyelevin 14 years ago not good enough to be a HOF but both will be in the next year or so, LOL!!!! I think it was Cowherd who said it this morning in regards to Alomar, he is going to in the offseason go out in the backyard and throw the ball around with his kid and is going to impress the voters with his play that who didn't vote for him this year they will next year, lol!!! It truly is a friggen joke and it should be taken out of the hands of these marshmallows and put it in the hands of the HOFers themselves to vote. At least then you won't see this stoogeshow that happens every year.

Alomar made that those teams, not the other way around. If not for Alomar the Jays would not of won either of those World Series. Jays could of won without Carter although I am happy he was on the team without a doubt, lol!!! but to a man those teams have said that the one that rallied those teams was Alomar.
