IN THE MATCHUP BETWEEN THESE 2 TEAMS IN TAMPA HE CAUGHT HOME PLATE UMPIRE TED BARRETT....NOW TEDDY IS A FAVORED HOME UMPIRE FOR MANY YEARS.... HE ALSO WILL SQUEEZE YOUNG PITCHERS MAKING GAMES GO OVER AS WAS THE CASE IN THAT DAY.... ANOTHER FACT POINTING TO THE TEDDY FACTOR WAS THE 4 WALKS ISSUED.....

DAVID HAS A LOT TO PROVE TO THIS ORGANIZATION AND HIMSELF......


ON THE OTHER SIDE JEFF NIEMANN HAS THROW 3 QUALITY STARTS IN MY BOOKS...TWO DIFFERENT PITCHERS FROM EARLY SEASON FORM TO HOW HE IS PITCHING NOW.....WHEN YOU THROW 19 INNINGS AND HOLD A 2.84 ERA ... YOU ARE IN GOOD FORM..... I BELIEVE HE WILL PITCH GOOD ONCE AGAIN BUT HE WILL BE ON THE LOSING SIDE OF THIS ONE DUE TO ONE OF THE MISTAKES HE HAS DONE LATELY....GIVING UP THE LONG BALL....


BOTTOM LINE IS THIS ....THESE TWO TEAMS HAVE PLAYED THEIR ASSES OUT IN THESE LAST 3 GAMES.... TOMORROW IMO I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT THE HITTING WILL DISSAPPEAR AND WE WILL SEE A DEFENSIVE PITCHING GAME LIKE A GAME 7 WIN OR GO HOME BATTLE ..... Nice write-up on the big play today. You are dead on with your statement of the hyped plays tanking this week. When ESPN dubs it as dominator week it does attract attention and quite frankly I am sure it directed more action to these plays then would have normally been placed. (authored a thread yesterday after Blue Jays gave the game to the O's-had only 50 hits on it-guess I should have thrown a LMAO in the title-usually that sets it up for more hits) You can always sit back and take the stance of the streak is due to end which will typically leave you with missing out on alot of "W's". I guess in this case the big red flag should have been waved when ESPN trumps it like it did. The home mastery of the tribe over the rays was not listed as a part of so called "Dominator week" however that stat of 15-0 did grace the ticker before yesterday's game. Blowing the 5-1 lead last night was miniscule in comparison to the collapse on Tuesday. 17-0 run after the early afternoon tilt. Great way to set the stage for a Cavs win tonight in the city of Cleveland!
