I Am Really Looking At Another Big Play For Tonight But This A's Yank Game Looks Very Playable.... Everyone Will Be Banking On A Big Blowout By The Yanks Here As They Have Won 8 Straight And Are Winners 13 Times In Their Last 15 Home Games.....they Have Won 9 Out Of 10 Including The Last 8 In A Row Against These A's ... Not To Mention No More Matt Holliday And Facing A Pitcher Who Just Had His First Big Bad Loss In His Last Start.... Or Was It Just By Circumstance????

Yes By Numbers Those Are Horrible Stats For Any Pitcher To Have For One Game But This Kid Gio Gonzales Isnt That Bad.... He Unfortunatley Was Umped By The Often Talked About Mike Muchlinsky In His Last Start, Who Imo Is Unpredictable And Somewhat Erratic With His Strike Zone On Certain Games.... Proof In Point Was The 4 Hrs In Gio Last Start.... I Looked At Replay Of That Game And Gio Wasnt Getting No Corner Calls Whatsoever, So He Throws Across The Plate To Get A Called Strike And Boom ...major League Level Baseball!!!!! .... Also The A's Have A Way With Stretching Out Their Young Relievers Turned Starters And I Think That Is What Was Happening When They Brought Gio In For The 1 Inning And Let Him Throw 29 Pitches .... Why Else Would You Leave Your Pitcher In For 2 Innings And 89 Pitches Unless You Are Stretching Him Out..... The A's Dont Play Around With Their Pitching Especially Young Ones And This Last Game Gio Gonzo Has Thrown Should Be A Complete Wash.......

Knowing How The A's Staff Treat Their Pitchers This Is An Automatic Play For Me.... But It Makes It Easier For Me To Play Against A Hot Team When We Got Andy Pettite Throwing....

I Like Any Lefty But The A's Only Chance In This Series To Take One Game Is Right Here...andy Has Lost 3 Of His 5 Games This Season In Day Games And Sports A 6.14 Era In Those Games.....he Also Carries A 5.24 Era At Home This Year....this Years A's Lineup Have Hit Pettite For A .336 Clip, So Yes I Think This Is The A's Spot Today.... Grant It Andy Showed Good Form In His Last Against Balty Getting A No Decision But He Lost Both Starts Prior To That.....

Like I Said Earlier I Like The Fact How The A's Work With Their Pitchers... I Think That Gio Will Go Toe To Toe With Andy And Be In Rare Stat Form Today.... I Also Believe He Has A favorable ump on his side today Who Has A liking To Lefties And Strike-outs...This Will Keep The Yankees Bats To A Minimal And Enable The A's To Possibly Pull A Surprise Here... Both Bats Will Be Small Today As This Imo Will Be A 1 Run Game Decided Around The 6th Or 7th And The Bullpen Will Hold The Rest..... Close Games Can Be Won By One Swing Of The Bat And This One Will Be Just That... But It Is A Flip Imo Who Wins This One So Ill Play The Runline And The Under As I Have Them Both High On Todays Card.....

russ ortiz is a pitcher you have to catch when things are positive around him.... tonight he is home where he has already won 3 times this year , he is pitching in july which is his best month lifetime going 19-10 (65%) , he is commonly known as a second half pitcher (61%) and is heating up as his last effort against the dodgers was a decent performance in terms to how some of us know him..... too much points to this being a game of the month ...but ill stick with another 9 star and cash this ticket
