i havent been posting enough and the record is showing the reason why, but today i love this card and i have a big total play.

Minnesota vs Kansas City

This may be the best chance for Duffy to pick up his first win at home VS a team that bats .223 on the road with all their stats against lefties far below the american league average. I think that this kid is still greener than the pasture in the midwest and is close to throwing how he threw down in the minors before the callup... He has pitched 3 big league games in which he progressively improved and will be behind his home crowd for a second time... The strikeouts are there as he has 14 in 15 innings pitched. The walks are down from 6 in his 1st start, to 3 in his 2nd, to a single walk in his last start. The numbers on him look below average with a 4.11 era, a whip of 1.56, yet he still holds a .358 obp and opponents are only hitting .250 against him. All this against a home and away with texas and a game in baltimore country. Decent teams if you asked me...The Kc royals have given him the support with 4 runs per game average but if last nights game showed anything that the Royals bats have cooled a little with only 2 runs in b2b games.

His opponent on the hill Carl pavano faced these same royals on 5/1 in KC and got shelled for 12 hits~6 earned runs and a loss, which was the beginning to his team losing 5 out of his next 6 starts. Unfortunately in that game on 5/1 he had one of his worst career umps tim tschida behind the plate that day. Maybe that ump caused a lot of adjustments for his next 5 starts and his mechanics got twisted or maybe he is just the old pavano that we know. Nevertheless he has one of his better umps behind the dish in mike everett where he has a career 1.35 era with him and has not lost a start with him calling the balls and strikes. So i expect a better outing than the loss he took here in May....The fact remains that some of our parents and ourselves know carl pavano and what a dreadful pitcher he still is, but to his credit his last 3 starts have been of quality going to the 7th twice and an 8 inning stint in his last against the angels.

Rookieees Final Thought:

I would love to back the royals in this game just because of the kid throwing, but a .20 increase from the opening line to where it sits at -153 is just a tad too much for me with the sputtering offense of KC and the surging run support by the twins (5.4 last 5gms). I had Kc yesterday along with many others and it would be rightfully to chase them again with this kid but with my analysis of this game has gotten me wondering if this is that day for him to win. I do know that he will be pitching a great game against these twins with the limited scouting report on him and i have a sneaky feeling that Carl Pavano with one of his better umps behind the dish and his recent form will be just as good if not better. I am seeing a close game that could go wither way but in a low scoring duel... There are some major trends im trying to break tonight playing the under in this game, which is the reason to the jump to 10 runs at this posting ~ but with the factors i mentioned above along with the in depth scouting report i have on duffy ~~ i believe that this is the right play for this game which should end around a 4-3 or 5-2 .... I havent been on my usual winnings ways in bases this year but im risking a big play on this one to turn my season around as i am rating this as my highest play for a total of the year.... and so should you !!!!
