(((( rookieees monday plays ~ cincy vs oakland )))))

Well another week gone by... Time to see if we can match anything close to last week

22-5 run right now so im going to give a jumpstart to all who have entered the new contest

cincy vs. Oakland

this game is going to be close and if i had to choose a side, i would take oakland just because of the 9-1 record they have over the reds since 2002 and the fact they are at home... Both teams are struggling to find wins as both come into this game 2-7 against their last 3 interleague series... Many have lost chasing both these teams and now they are facing each other

the real play in this game is the under 8 runs.... Not just because over the past 12 combined games (last 7 gms) between them they have only scored 35 runs (cin 13 ~ oak 22), not just because oakland has only 1 hr in its 6 games or cincys horrible .218 batting ave..... The real reason this game is going to stay under is a combination of the above and oaklands left hand pitcher gio gonzales.....

The reds are having their problems with lefties this year, they just got blanked twice in seattle by cliff lee and ryan roland-smith this weekend , who are lefties as well... Grant it they are batting .278 against all southpaws , they have only managed to muster 1 hr in appx 30 ab's and produce 1 run across the plate in every 7.75 ab's.... If you do some research you will find that gio gonzales faces about 25.2 batters per a game and about 6 inngs of work~ which comes to 3.25 runs expected for the reds "" if "" they play up to past practice of this season.

But i dont think that can be possible with how they are playing ....despite gio having a 4.21 era and being only 6-5 for the season... He is actually decent behind those numbers...He is 4-2 with a 2.90 era at home while opponents are only batting .239 against him for the season (.165 at home) He gives up a hr about 1 in every 12 innings pitched and has .81 k's per an inning (1.42 at home).... Keep in mind that the oakland coliseum is rank dead last in hrs for its park and 29th for runs scored this season .... This isnt going to do cincy any justice imo...

If oakland's bullpen can hold it in the late innings, i expect this game to finish in the favor of oakland 4-2

4**** cin/oak under 8 ( even)
2** oakland -120
2** prop play ~~ under 26.5 hits/runs/errors (-115)

other plays

2*** kc/wash under 9 runs (even)
1* kansas city (+137)
1* ari/nyy over 10.5 (-110)

best of luck

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?
