Rudy NYC Sports Plays of the Day -04/06/10

2-0 +5.0 yesterday
2-0 +5.0 MLB season
--------------------------

8:05 PM EDT
951 SF Giants – B Zito +117
952 Houston Astros – W Rodriguez
The play: SF Giants +117 (2 units)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We pointed out yesterday that the Giants game out of spring training with a load of confidence and cashed on the Bay Area Giants. Today, having watched last night’s game, we like the Jints once again. Zito pitched well the second half of last season and had a decent spring. Wandy, on the other hand, has his problems in the preseason. We never put much weight on “the Wandy at Home theory”, so let’s not go there. The Giants well rounded attack will continue against Wandy and the Astros offense, which came alive late last night but really hit only one pitcher (Medders), and will have similar problems against Zito and anyone else the Giants throw at them. The net, net, the Giants have a far superior lineup and are playing inspired ball. That should carry them to 2-0 tonight.

10:05 PM EDT
963 Seattle Mariners – I Snell
964 Oakland A’s – D Braden -126
The play: Oakland A’s -126 (2 units)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We watched last night’s game in its entirety. We are very big on the more baseball you watch, the more you learn. What did we learn besides the fact that the Mariners almost gave the game away? We learned that the Mariners will once again have their problems. We learned that we were wrong, right in picking the Mariners as a winner, but wrong that the A’s would come out uninspired after the Cust fiasco. This young A’s team is scrappy and will come to play day in and day out. Their relief staff is way above average and tonight their starter, Braden is on his way up, while one can build a case that Snell is on his way down. Neither of these teams can hit but we give the edge to the A’s despite Chavez looking half dead; maybe he will get early “rest”. Tonight we will NOT watch this matchup as we can do that to ourselves again. A’s will prevail in this snore-ball game.

GL,
RUDY

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

free preview of the MLB Season Pass from DirecTV. Didn't watch last nite because of the hoops, but will be watching the next few nights for sure.
