RudyNYC Early MLB Play of the Day - 4/18/2011

Season Record: 12-8 +5.42 units
-----------------------------------------

Monday Early Play:

Blue Jays/Red Sox OVER 5 -120 (5 innings) 1.5 units

We have two starting pitchers who give us reason to suggest that this will be a slug-fest. We need not discuss the hitting prowess of either of these squads as we know both have the potent lineups with that potential to put up runs.

Back to the pitchers. First Ricky Romero for Toronto. RR's history against the Sawx reads 2-4, 7.42 ERA, 2.06 WHIP, and .346 BAA. Yes, we are aware of his impressive 2011 start but look at the Red Sox starting lineup's BA against RR:

Drew RF - .450 (20 AB)
Pedroia 2B - .545 (11 AB)
Gonzalez 1B - .333 (3 AB)
Youkilis, 3B - .400 (10 AB)
Ortiz DH - .409 (22 AB)
Lowrie SS - .400 (5 AB)
Crawford LF - 1.000 (1 AB)
Varitek C - .000 (1 AB)
Ellsbury CF - .417 (12 AB)

Should we waste ink on discussing Matsuzaka? No, we need to send it on OVER, 5 innings as game time approaches (confident full game will click too).

GL
Rudy

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Thanks again guys, obviously I needed the luck to walk away with a push when that one should have been a cake walk...I discounted Dice's favorable history against the Jays because of his lousy form going into the game.

Might be back with another later.

GL to all
