RudyNYC MLB Play of the Day - 3/31/11

Tigers/Yanks OVER 7.5 -120 (Bookmaker) 1.5 units (okay to play @ OVER 8)*

Let’s not talk stats on this one as we know we have two premier starters going and two potent lineups. Let’s talk situation. The rain has cleared up as we await this evening’s storm with showers forecasted for this afternoon. It is windy and is forecasted to persists as the Nor’easter approaches. Any way you slice it, it is roar outside. As David Letterman said last night: “at least you know the beer will be cold today at the Stadium”.

Both these teams had good springs, especially in the hitting department. Tiger’s starter Verlander was unhittable in the Grapefruit League and Yank starter Carsten Charles (CC) Sabathia’s spring was a walk in the park. However, typically both starters have been slow starters in the regular season. Here is where I see the problem: neither pitcher will be asked to go too far today as at sometime there will be a prolonged inning making it difficult for one or the other to stay loose in this weather. Both relief staffs are decent but it only takes one cold relief pitcher to set the table for several runs crossing the plate. With these two heavy hitting lineups there is no room for error. This one goes OVER in the mid to late innings.

GL
Rudy

* I will grade this @ OVER 8 +105 (5dimes)

Seth: Gimme that. Alright, you look like a future pedophile in this picture, number 1. Number 2: it doesn't even have a first name, it just says "McLovin"!
Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?
