RudyNYCSports Postseason MLB - 9/30

Friday’s Plays:

951 5:00 Rays +168 1 unit
Everything we see or read about Matt Moore, the 2011 #1 pitching prospect, has been favorable including his only start against the Yankees where he fooled most of the NY star hitters while striking out 11 in five innings. We expect the Rangers to have the same difficulty against Moore, especially the first time around. This will be a tall task for the Rays, hence the 1 unit play, but we believe in Maddon’s decision making and believe the Ray’s momentum will last at least for one more game.

953 8:30 Tigers +122 2 units
We are backing the sharper starting pitcher, Verlander, while Sabathia has not pitched that well having gone 3-3 over his ten starts since August 1(team went 5-5 in these starts). The Tigers averaged 6.65 runs per game in September while the Yanks averaged 4.82. You can factor out the mail-in lineups the last week or so but that would only lessen their 4.82 runs!!! 2 units on the hotter pitcher and the hotter hitting team.

GL,
Rudy
