Braves -105

Thought I'd do a little writeup on this one. I like the Braves to continue their recent success after the all-star break against the banged up Mets. Obviously the Braves lineup today will be superior to the Mets' with Reyes, Delgado, Beltran and now Sheffield all on the DL. Johan Santana on the mound is a big factor but not that huge given the fact he has never won against Atlanta and I think Kawakami will definitely be able to at least match his performance because he is facing an inferior, struggling Mets lineup at home. I like the fact that the Braves' bats have really come alive lately and that a number of their players have good numbers against Santana. Look for the Braves to keep things rolling against their division rivals this afternoon.
