We are taking Arizona (Webb -$120) against Colorado (Wright).
What can a team do the day after giving up 18 runs in a loss? Win the
game and behind Brandon Webb, we have them doing just that. Webb is
already 2-0 versus the Rockies this season with a 3.21 Era and he is
5-3 with a 3.56 Era in nine career starts versus them. He is 4-0 with
a 3.30 Era this season and the team is 5-2 when he makes a start.
Wright is 2-2, but is carrying a hefty 6.31 Era with it and the
Rockies are 2-4 when he goes. He is just 55-74 with a 5.12 Era over
his career, so we are gambling that the Rockies will not come with
the big effort again today and that the DBack lineup does.

MINNESOTA (Silva) -115 over TEXAS (Rogers)

Carlos Silva has emerged as a solid #3 pitcher in
the Twins rotation, posting a 3.50 ERA in his first
5 starts of 2005. He looks like an excellent value
today as a short favorite against a Texas team that
lost 5 of 7 to this team last year (-$400) . The Rangers
have been a good road club, but the Twins are un-
defeated in the Metrodome vs. lefthanders (5-0, +$500
with 7.8 runs per game). We don't think Kenny Rogers
can continue to excel as the season weears on, look
for him to get roughed up by a good hitting Minnesota
team.
