Scre..ed on my RL Cards chase because of betting rules

I just feel I need to went here...
I'm very pissed.

Yesterday was my 5-th step on a RL chase on St Louis, which I began the last game when they were playing at home (they won just by 1).

Then they were swept by the Astros, but yesterday should have bee a clear RL win!
But the game ended at 4-1 after 7.5 innings, and of course my wager was declared null.

I never understood and always though like a nonsense about not grading a wager on the RL, when a game ends before time, but the ML wagers are graded.
Totals of course, that's a logic for them not to be graded (but really even here just the OVER wagers should be not grading if the game ended in under...), but not the RL...

What's the reasoning behind this stupid universal betting rule on RL-s, can some of you say some good arguments for it?

And now I'm totally scre...ed, because I guess I need to declare a loss on my chase because they play a series in Philly now (even if in some games like today maybe I can take them like dogs, no need for the RL win...).
What you guys would do?

You win some and you lose some. It all evens out in the end.

I guess I'm suprised that there are always posts like this whenever this happens, since this has been the rule at almost all the books I know for as long as I can remember.

Always a good idea to look at the weather forecast before all the games and know there's a chance this could happen with forecasts like that.

I had an over in Philly once that had like a combined 20 runs for my over bet, but the game was called in the 8th inning so it was voided. As stated before, it will end up evening out sometime probably.

It evens out all right in NORMAL conditions, but not when doing a chase having a team just on the RL (or when it's a dog along the chase)...

In these situations I guess in 90% of cases ruins your chase.
