Shutouts MLB Saturday Game Of The Month

Game of the Month:

Tampa Bay Rays vs Toronto Blue Jays

Tampa Bay will start David Price who is 2-2 with a 2.83 era. Meanwhile the Blue Jays will start Brandon Morrow who will be making his season debut. Morrow has missed three weeks with elbow inflammation. Morrow pitched well against Tampa Bay in 2010 posting a 2-1 record with a 1.67 era in four starts including a one hitter striking out 17. Although Morrow pitches well against Tampa Bay, Price is even better against the Blue Jays as he is 6-0 with a 1.93 era in seven starts. Tampa Bay also supports Price when he is on the hill as they are 40-19 in his starts since 2008. With Morrow having troubles with his elbow and posting numbers like he did in his rehab starts giving up 8 earned runs in 9 1/3 innings, Tampa Bay will back Price again today and will get the win after giving up a walk off last night. Price pitched well last year in day games going 7-2 with a 3.38 era. Mike Winters will be behind the plate and the Rays are 4-1 in their last 5 games with him behind the plate.

Take:

Tampa Bay Rays -125

$150/$120

Houston Astros vs Milwaukee Brewers

Houston will start Brett Myers who is 1-0 with a 2.39 era. Milwaukee will start Shaun Marcum who is 2-1 with a 1.90 era. Marcum has been on the bereavement list in order to spend time with his father who is undergoing heart surgery but is set to make his start today at Miller Park. Marcum has pitched extremely well this season but on the other side so has Myers. Myers has been outstanding only to see the bullpen give up the lead as they have done twice in Myers's four starts. The bats were unstoppable yesterday as there were 21 runs scored Milwaukee winning 14-7. Todays game will be the exact opposite as two solid pitchers take the hill. As much as I hope everything goes well with Shaun's dad, that will be in the back of his mind all game. Astros are 7-2 in Myers' last 9 starts with 5 days of rest.

Take:

Houston Astros +145

$50/$72.50
