Baltimore is a disaster right now, they are trying to rebuild, but waste money on guys like Tejada and Atkins. With the division they are, they either need to spend a ton of money, or be like the Rays and get serious with scouting, drafting, and player development. they can't keep doing this in between shit. I don't see them ever being relevant with their current front office and owner

One of Baltimores biggest problems is they don't draft the best player available, they have been drafting for needs, you can't do that in baseball. You have to draft the best player, and then find him a position to play. The old saying is, if you can hit they will find a spot for you to play. They sign useless veterans to try and protect their young players. They dealt for Milwood to help bring along Matusz and Tilman, but they could have signed Smoltz, a cheaper option. They bring in Tejada and Atkins to take pressure off Wieters and Markakis, but Tejada and Atkins aren't threats.

Their best bet is to try and move Roberts when he gets healthy, move Milwood at the deadline, find someone to take another awful signing, Mike Gonzalez. They don't need to get top 100 prospects, but get a few high ceiling high risk players

Oakland will challenge the Angels for the West

Giants finally have "some" offense to go with the pitching

When the Phillies and Dodgers play, take the over even if it is 15+

Cubs are who we thought they were

Twins will run away with the AL Central if they get any kind of pitching

Jamie Moyer may finally be at the end, we will see today for sure

If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.” ---Jim Valvano

Moyer won't be starting come June, Phillies will get a midseason pitcher or trade for someone. phillies just buying time using Kendrick and Moyer. Phils will snag an innings eater for a low level prospect before the deadline, or sign Smoltz/Martinez

My Tigers are 6-4 through smoke and mirrors. Staarted with KC twice, and then the Indians..haven't played anybdy yet. Bottom half of the lineup can't hit, and the pitching has been just ok. If they don't get strong pitching, could be in trouble.

However, Austin Jackson is the real deal. Only ten games so far, but getting him for Granderson and saving a lot of money is making Dombrowski look better so far.

i think this could be the year the MLB looks at how pathetic attendance at some venues is going to be and realize that something needs to be done with the salary cap rules.
ie
If the Yankees are going to have to pay all of these teams millions , those teams need to ante up and pay respectible salaries, thus getting better players, instead of ' pocketing ' the cash .

How about the fact that the Blue Jays pitching ISN'T the worst, or one of the worst in baseball?

Or, how about how ****ing horrible the Diamondbacks closers are? I went to bed lasty night with a parlay still alive, and just needed them to close it out. Woke up to see another bomb went off, this time thanks to Gutierrez instead of Qualls. What a joke this team is.

And ya Sweets, totally happy how well the Bucs are doing so far. If any team needed it, it's them. Let's hope they keep it going.
