someone explain this to me ....

why are there 30 teams in baseball, 6 divisions, and NOT 5 teams in each division???

can someone explain to me why the NL central has 6 teams, yet the AL west has 4 teams? why hasnt baseball moved a team somewhere to balance this out? makes 0 sense and during inter-league play it doesnt match up, etc. pretty stupid if you ask me.

what other team could be in the AL West? Texas shouldn't even be there really as it is

it's all geographical as most teams when they were founded stayed east and Midwest where baseball was more popular

I know they talked about fixing this for years. It would involve moving AL and NL teams to more regional divisions. Teams would switch leagues. I don't know why it hasn't happened, maybe money, maybe old owners just don't want it. They seem to bring it up every year but nothing happens.

It's funny that you brought this up. I was gonna post the same thing. I really don't think it's fair that the NL central has to deal with 6 teams and the AL west only has 4. Huge advantage for the AL west. It doesn't matter with the regions. Look at other sports like Hockey and football.

then you will have 15 in each league and an odd team that wouldn't play 2 series a week
