Chicago White Sox
-The White Sox have won three straight games and are an MLB-best 49-27 since June 9. Chicago has used 88 different lineups this season.
-Sox starters are 38-18 with a 3.24 ERA and 56 quality starts in the last 77 games, lowering their season ERA from 5.28 to 4.06.
-Outfielder Manny Ramirez is a career .275 hitter with 12 home runs and 41 RBI in 75 career games against Boston.
-Chicago and Boston split eight games in 2009, with each going 3-1 at home. The White Sox hit .285 with a 3.89 ERA and outscored the Sox, 45-36.
-SP John Danks is 5-2 with a 3.75 ERA in his last 10 starts and 8-3 with a 3.86 ERA over his last 15.
-The White Sox are 13-13 in Dank’s starts this year, as he’s made 17 quality starts.
-Since April 3, 2008, he has faced All-Star pitchers 28 times, going 11-11 with a 3.53 ERA in those matchups.
-Danks will be making his sixth career start versus Boston, going 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts at Fenway Park.

New York Yankees
-The Yankees are 5-0 to begin their 10-game homestand, winning yesterday’s series opener and sweeping four games from the Athletics.
-New York is 29-18 since the All-Star break, winning 13 of their last 17 games.
-The team has won seven straight games, matching its season-high winning streak and have outscored their opponents 50-24 over that span.
-New York has posted a 34-16 daytime record and are currently 28-20 versus divisional foes. Their daytime record is second-best in the majors behind only the Oakland Athletics. The team leads the majors with a .284 daytime average.
-The Bronx Bombers are 18-6 in their last 24 games against left-handed starters, having won seven of the last eight times.
-1B Mark Teixeira has reached base in 14 of his 21 plate appearances in the first five games of this homestand.
-The bullpen has combined for a 1.63 ERA with a .183 batting average against since July 26.
-Won 20 of their last 33 home games versus Toronto.
-SP Javier Vazquez is 9-6 with three no-decisions and a 3.88 ERA since May 12, after going 1-3 with a 9.78 ERA in five starts prior to that date.
