THE Sports PROFIT...OFF the sidelines Saturday

Good Day Ladies and Gentlemen:

Well, as they say to old friends, it's been a long time. For us, relatively speaking, it has been exactly 15 days since our last investment and that is a long time. Normally we aren't active right after the all star break anyway, but this week simply hasn't appealed to us as well , so the hiatus was a bit longer than anticipated.

However, we are back in the saddle today, but first let's bring everyone up to date with a quick recap.

We were in our final week of our season and made two plays on July 10th and both for 2 units and both were winners. Those two wins allowed us to finish the week and our year on a good note with + 3 units of PROFIT.

Our 2nd half report and final year end numbers will be out next week, so look forward to that as it was another PROFITABLE year. Our 5th year running.

On to today as we have two plays going, and both are in the afternoon, but one is an early start.

take: Tampa Bay Rays +108...1 unit....at Toronto Blue Jays, game time is 1:05 p.m .e.s.t....Listed Pitchers are: David Price and Brian Tallet. This is simply about getting a take back price on a quality team like Tampa who are facing a guy who demolished him just over two weeks ago and this guy hasn't pitched well in the last month and was demoted to the bullpen. Brian Tallet had a good start to the year, but it looks like he's hit a wall. In his last 3 starts, he has an 8.40 ERA, a 2.47 WHIP and an OBP of .469. During the day it doesn't get better for him with a 5.33 ERA. He faced Tampa in his only career start against them in Tampa and was lit up for 8 runs on 11 hits in only 3 innings where he threw 84 pitches. That was his last start and today he goes up against them today against a pitcher who loves pitching during the day. David Price is 3-0 during the day with a sparkling 1.52 ERA and allowing only 4 earned runs in 23.2 innings pitched. He has a solid WHIP of 1.18 and is backed by a bullpen that has a 1.93 ERA currently. Price faced Toronto and Roy Halladay and Tampa won 3-2 in that game with Price allowing only 1 run over 6 innings with 7 strikeouts. A performance remotely close to that today should get Tampa a win and getting dog money on them is a plus. Play for 1 unit.

take: Saskatchewan Roughriders -2.5 -105 FIRST HALF ....2 units.....vs Edmonton Eskimos, game time is 4 p.m. e.s.t....Saskatchewan loves to perform on home field and in most cases gives their fans an exciting afternoon of football and more times than not they also give them a W. However last week they were humbled by the Montreal Alouettes on their home turf and that isn't sitting well with this football club. Now they get a chance to redeem themselves against an Edmonton team that simply seems out of sorts on all fronts this year. A lot of pundits had high expectations for this team but they have all gone out the window as this team has been discombulated in everything its tried to do. They have allowed 90 points in their last 2 games and have started games notoriously slow and ineffectively. Now they go into the GREEN HOUSE where they are facing a team hungry to make amends for last weekend's horrible result. Not a good spot for Edmonton facing a team that is sure to come out fired up and ready to play. I like the home team here to take hold of this game early and cover the -2.5 points in the first half. Play for 2 units.

strong consideration:
Chicago White Sox +140 at Detroit Tigers

cheers, PROFIT
