Question Stephen Strasburg this years Allstar game?

Only 4 starts 2-2..... 2.27.....but obviously a allstar in the making.

Will he be in the Allstar game this year and should he be in your opinion

No.

Gotta put in more time. He's certainly not more deserving than some of the all-time greats that didn't get to play in their 1st or 2nd years. Plus, with the lack of Nats hitting and their spotty defense, he may finish the year 4-12. They can't play the Pirates every time he starts.

Of course, every team must be represented, so if Dunn, Zimmerman, and Willingham all break their legs, then let Strasburg in.

(When the Phillies were terrible in the late 90's, Curt Schilling still managed to win at least 15 a year. I think that one year, almost a third of their wins were in his starts. Give a losing team a good chance of winning every time out. That's how to stand out as an all-star pitcher on a bad team. I don't think we know if Strasburg is there yet.)

if the all star game is for the ' best players ' he should probably go.
Deserving ? probably not.

Was it correct to have some aging perennial all stars take a final bow and get on the team even though they were not having ' all star ' type years A? Maybe and probably so.

While he doesn't deserve to be based on stats alone, I do believe he could make an impact and help the NL win the game. And isn't that what it's all about now, to win the game so your league gets home field advantage?

Certainly 5 or 6 starts is nowhere near enough to merit an All-Star appearance and while I'm sure most might disagree with me I do think he is one of the 10 best pitchers in the NL right now.

With all that being said though, no I do not believe we will see him this year in the All-Star game, which is unfortunate because I think ratings would double.

It makes me no difference if he makes it or not, but It will be interesting to see if he does. They expanded the roster to 34 players now.

Manuel is a pretty old-school guy, so even if Strasburg is invited, he might still be sitting in the pen when the game is over. (Much like the way HOF voters will say someone is a HOFer, but not a 1st ballot HOFer.)

Definitely not, he has to earn the spot & coming in a month or so before the game doesn't make him an all start. But he definitely will be there next year, I will go out on a limb with that statement.

not a big deal if he makes it. The All-Star game decides home field, and you can't say he would be a detriment to the team
