I noticed that a very large volume of bets came in late on the UNDER in the Phillies/Dodgers game tonite.
The public was favoring the OVER (@70%) then in the last 5 minutes prior to game time it flipped to 60%plus on the UNDER. Then the ever expanding strike zone took shape. Every time there were RISP suddenyl the HP umpire starts calling strikes way off the plate, not consistently so as to be blatant but it was very suspicious. He even ejected a player for arguing from the dugout. This ump has a notoriously tight zone so what gives here???

not sure if this wasnt just a weird coincidence ... to be honest i agree, zone expanded as the game went on ... but the pitch to Blake when he got ejected WAS a strike, no doubt ... what he was upset about was the previous at bat where the pitch was a little inside. but overall, i just kinda see this as a coincidence, and i also didnt think the zone expanded when it was RISP, i thought it was kinda both ways and majority of the time...
but hey, maybe i just got 'fooled' .. .like you said, it wouldnt be blatantly obvious unless u were looking for it and saw that late action. interesting for sure though |

Never saw a total flip-flop like that (w/o a pitching change), it just struck me as very odd. Then it really started smelling funny with all the questionable strikes. Especially the ones with RISP and full count which were clearly balls (4-5" off the plate).
Really makes you wonder. |
