A.t.h.l.e.t.i.c.s.
Made my first baseball post of the season last night, and cashed it. Let's hit em' while we're hott ehhh? I absolutely love this play fellas.
Oakland Athletics -140
Why?
Brad Bergesen is 3-3 through 8 starts and not consistant at all posting a 6.10 era with run support of one of the worst teams in the MLB averaging under 4 runs per game at home. They are 1-4 against Oakland this season, and there is no way that the A's allow Baltimore to take the series in the first series of a 10 game road trip.
Gio Gonzalez on the other hand is 5-3 with a 3.46 era; however, his worst outing came against the NYY. Now if any of you watched that game, you will know that he did not deserve to have all 5 earned runs. Jorge Posada (speed) beat out a ball that was bobbled twice by the A's first baseman, was given a hit and an RBI with two outs in the inning. 2 more runs scored in this same inning. Gio can very easily have a 2.40 era! He is also enfuego as of late coming off two straight Victories, and a 2 hit shutout through eight innings.
A's come out victorious in a 6-2 final!!!!!!
