One, two, or a few bad starts/games out of 162 does mean they shouldn't be in contention since overall they are a very good team.

I was really just speaking to the lack of offense against poor pitching...and that I think they're a joke, as far as world series contenders like so many think...I say NO WAY! That's all, theyre a good ball club sure, but there are better teams out there that have no where near the pitching talent they have...bummer because I like them

Almost 30 games over .500, tied for best record in baseball in arguably the toughest division in all of baseball and the third highest scoring team in all of baseball. Yep they suck

rays just aren't giving the "over" bettors any help, that includes me. But to respond to this thread, the rays are not in 1st place in the toughest MLB division for nothing. This is a fearless young team, they are not scared of the yankees. I see rays winning the wild card with yanks 1st in east by just a game or two although this could be flipped very easy. Just sayin...
