Tell me why I shouldnt unload on the Phillies to win the N.L. . . . again

Last year I had about 3K on the Phillies to win the N.L (at prices between +150 and +200) and obviously was very, very dissapointed when the weak hitting Giants took them out and swore I wouldnt make any futures bets this year and especially on them lol

However, after watching this season unfold and as we enter the playoffs I just cant see any NL team beating them. I know the Cards are hot but that was Houston and just a week ago the Cards were choking a game or two away and were a little shaky so its not like theyre that incredible imo.

Milwaukee and Arizona pose threats but really that will be a best of 7 and I just cant see those teams bringing enough pitching to the table to match Hallday and Lee alone, let alone with Hamels and Oswalt behind.

I mean Halladay is friggen lights out and who do they pick up in the offseason?? CLiff Lee, the best postseason pitcher of the last few years hands down, thats a 1-2 punch that just cant be beat.

The best of 5 scares me cuz its such a short series but 3 of those possible 5 games will be started by Lee or Halladay and another by Hamels. Even if Oswalt flames it'll be in a game against someone other than Carpenter so the Phils maybe win that too.

I see them now at -133 at Pinnacle to win the N.L. I play at 5dimes so Im assuming its gonna be -135 or -140. Theyre -280 on 5dimes right now to win the 1st series and I cant see them being a bigger fave than that in the NLCS so I might just pick an amount and flat bet each series individually and roll it over instead of paying the "futures bet" juice. If I bet $1000 on the first series and roll it over to the nlcs even if both series are -280 that would end up being the equivalent of -119 as opposed to the at least -135 I will be paying on the futures bet. If the NLCS is like -220 with the NLDS -280 thats -103 so Im definitely going the roll-over option, forget that futures juice.

So since I'll be paying anywhere from +100 to -120 its in essence like a straight bet of sorts and a rather strong one imo and I am thinking of going large again (for me) in the $2000 range.

Tell me what Im missing, tell me why theyre gonna lose

Or tell me . . . LETS ROLL !!!!!!!!

I think it's gonna be a good series.I hate to bet against STL but facing that 1-2 punch of doc and lee is awfully tough.I think if it were stretched to 5 games you might see doc go again in game 4 and lee in the 5th.

I want Philadelphia to win it all because I am a BIG Halladay supporter. I think they have a great shot at winning it all this year.
