Tigers AL Central Favorites?

New York Yankees +335
Boston Red Sox +675
Philadelphia Phillies +750
Los Angeles Dodgers +1200
Los Angeles Angels +1400
St. Louis Cardinals +1400
Colorado Rockies +1700
San Francisco Giants +1800
Chicago Cubs +2000
Atlanta Braves +2200
Detroit Tigers +2200 Top rated AL Central team
Florida Marlins +2500
Minnesota Twins +2500
New York Mets +2500
Tampa Bay Devil Rays +2500
Texas Rangers +2500
Seattle Mariners +3000
Chicago White Sox +3500
Milwaukee Brewers +4000
Cincinnati Reds +4500
Arizona Diamondbacks +6600
Houston Astros +7500
Cleveland Indians +8000
San Diego Padres +8500
Kansas City Royals +9000
Oakland Athletics +9000
Toronto Blue Jays +10000
Baltimore Orioles +15000
Washington Nationals +15000
Pittsburgh Pirates +17500

Tigers lose Edwin Jackson and Granderson and are still favored to take the division? Albeit its doesnt mean a thing because I cant recall the last AL Central to actually win it but it still says alot.

Im actually a fan of trading Granderson and Jackson because they were about to take some big pay hikes and quite honestly I dont think Granderson's ceiling is as high as it seemed to be 24 months ago.

Sherzer is probably a better pitcher than Jackson at this point and Austin Jackson is cost controlled. If the Tigers mantain any competitiveness the next year or two all of their bad contracts should come off the books and they can take another shot with some bigger name FAs. They might have to break the bank soon for Verlander anyways if he is able to build off of his solid 09 season.

Not saying Tigers have a shot or should they be favored. Just found it odd especially after the losses of Granderson, Edwin Jackson, Polanco and their 8th and 9th inning guys (Lyon and Rodney).

And they are still top rated in the AL Central? Either that says the divison they play in is absolute crap or the Tigers have some better players to replace those guys with. I think the latter is true.

MN has value at 2500. Will be interesting to see how the team adapts to playing in the new stadium.
