You have a young player in Colby Rasmus developing into a fine hitter batting 5th in the lineup, having a great year hitting for power especially as evidenced by the fact he has a higher slugging percentage than Pujols incredibly. So what do you go and do? Move him out of the 5th spot behind Holliday where he was obviously comfy and thriving all year and move him to the leadoff spot, which totally throws off his mentality and approach. This is a guy who hits with a big leg kick and looks to crush the ball, he is not a leadoff hitter!
For a surefire HOF manager this guy really does make some of the stupidest decisions you will ever see. Remember when he got the brilliant idea to start batting his pitchers 8th because he apparently no longer thought it was desirable to have the worst hitter in the lineup batting last? Eventually he came to his senses and backed off from that but it showed how dumb and stubborn he is, but hey luckily for him he can keep riding Albert's coattails to 95+ wins while everyone talks about how great he is...Ahole.
