Top 5 all-time MLB players in your time

Only include people you know & try to avoid history.

My 5 in no special order

Pete Rose - the guy could hit. Growing up always loved the way he played although he was on other teams

Barry Bonds - say what you want but the guy was the most feared hitter I have ever seen

Albert Pujols
- I keep waiting for this guy to have that slump season. Not happening. Simply amazing.

Ken Griffey Jr
- Is it possible that someone this great is underrated?

Greg Maddux - Just an incredible pitcher without overpowering stuff

no disrespect to Ricky Henderson, Roger Clemens, Alex Rodriguez & Nolan Ryan

Yeah he was one of the best hitters as well. Not sure if I put him in my top 10 but probably close.

i love griffey and if it wasnt for the injuries i would say he would have went down as one of the best ever...but gwynn had the better career imo, same with bonds.

i wouldnt even put bonds in that category, the only reason he got so much respect is because all of the roids he did, started hitting a ton of homers

Robbie Alomar doesnt get near the credit he deserves for being arguably the best 2nd baseman to ever play the game.

5 players just isnt fair because no doubt there are so many great dominant HOFers in just my 22 short years of following the game closely.

Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Derek Jeter, Pujols, Griffey, Pudge, Alomar, Maddux, Pedro.

The list can go on and on but the above mentioned players were the best at their position for a few years and not just flashes of greatness.....these players are just off the top of my head and Im sure If I actually thought about it could come up with 20 more no problem.

Love it or hate it its the best game on the planet IMO

Agree, spitting on Hirshbeck tainted his legacy, though.............
