im a jays fan as well but the reason behind the high value for the jays is that roy halladay isnt in this series and zack greinke and gil meche are pitching for the royals in this series.

also brian burres is in the rotation and he sucks balls. there is a good chance for the royals to take this series. but not bad value on the jays.

I love my Jays but I don't see them winning this series outright, at best a split.

4 game series first of all so to win the series they must win 3 out of 4. Next the last two games of this series you have Greinke going in one game and he has been unhittable this season with a 4-0 record and a friggen ERA of 0.00 That in itself is fawking incredible. In the last game of the series you have Brian Burress pitching for the Jays and this guy is absoloutely garbage so you are probably looking at 2 losses in those 2 games alone which gives you at best a split. That means the Jays have to win tonight and tomorrow night.

I think you lose tonight, you have Purcey going up against bannister. Edge Royals. Then you have to win the next two games against Meche and Grinke.

I really think the royals can sweep them this series and bring Tor. back to life.

I just think the pitching match ups are horrible for you. You don't have Roy going in this series and the royals are getting the front of their rotation vs. the back of yours.

But I could be wrong.

Agree 100% here. based on paper the Royals have the better pitching matchups....

Brian Tallet goes Wednesday, not Burress. He's been much better, but will still be in very tough vs Greinke.

If the starters can hang in, it could happen. +160's a nice price on a team playing very well, so maybe just on that basis, give it a whirl. But the Jays will have to win tonite to have a realistic shot of taking two, which means backing Purcey.

I like Purcey least out of the three Jay starters going in this series, since his first start he hasn't been very good, although he was a bit better his last outing. All three Royal starters this series have been excellent, so full marks to the Blue Jays if they can win two here. This will be a good test for their offense.

This is a 4 game series, they have to win 3 of the 4 to win the series so 2 wins does them no good except to avoid losing the series. And Burress pitches the 4th game of the series, the night after Greinke goes up against Tallet.

Its hard enough to win 2 out of 3 on the road but to win 3 out of 4 with those two last matchups I don't like the Jays chances of bettering a split and a good chance of losing the series outright if they don't win a game today or tomorrow.

I believe what they consider a series is the first 3 games of the 4 game set. So whoever wins 2 out of the first 3, atleast I think thats how thegreek does it.
Richmond, tallet, purcey, good value on the series but your going against KC's 3 best pitchers. This will be a tough series for jays.

Well, that's what I assumed when I saw that there was a series line, that it would be referring to an odd number of games. And yes, the Greek specifically states April 27-29.

So, at least you won't have to worry about that bag of crap Burress screwing it over.

It will still be hard, but at least the guys going Tuesday and Wednesday have been dependable, so that will help.

I do apologize it does look as if for series bets it is only for the first three games of a series. Don't bet series plays at all so was not aware of that. I do apologize for the misinformation, although I still do believe the Jays lose this series, lol!!
