I doubt they will be in the playoffs this year. Another year from now and then I can see them starting to contend for a playoff spot.

As for the total wins this is the easiest of all the teams out there this year, this will go over quite easily IMO. See the Jays winning between 85-90 games this year. They have one of the most underrated starting staffs in baseball because of how young it will be and they will still have a better than average bullpen. Still believe they are still a year away from really contending but think they will be better than a .500 team and that is all I need to cash in this over.

Seems pretty low. Good young staff and deep bullpen. And now there are some guys at the top of the order who can get on base and run to manufacture offense.

Its well known they've acquired speed, and plan to play a different brand of baseball now that Cito is gone.

totally agree they are going for different style but they lack the players that take pitches and make the pitchers work like the Yanks and Bosox. And their speed consists of Davis, career OBP .330, Johnny Mac, lol, I dunno, I see their offence taking a major blow unless guys like Lind, Hill and Snyder rebound! I do like their bullpen though! I just wish they got rid of Encarnacion!

This team is fully capable of finishing a few games over .500, if not more. I believe it comes down to the young pitchers... Romero, Morrow, Cecil, and Drabek. If Romero and Morrow can really step in this year and develop into true top of the rotation leaders, then yes they will easily get past 75 wins. It also depends on Lind and Hill bouncing back, which I really believe will happen. Let's not forget about Travis Snider, this young slugger has a lot to prove this year. I know Davis has a low career OBP, but that can change here in Toronto, you never know... if he gets clicking that would be key.

I would say UNDER that number as I don't think Bautista will have that kind of season again. I see him around 25 home runs, .250 avg and also they will not have any protection around him.

The young pitchers although with terrific upside will have their share of lumps as well. I think if they win more then 75+ games, it will be due to Snider, Hill & Lind finding their game.

As I said earlier in this thread, this is the easiest play of all the teams this year and possibly one of the easiest bets ever, too bad I got a wait a few months to collect my money, LOL!!!!!

I think I like the over, but is there a team with more young starters on the roster that your just not sure about?

Was last year a fluke for Escobar? Will Baustista repeat? Will Tarvis Snider finally fulfill his potential everyone has been talking about? Was 2009 a fluke for Adam Lind or was last year the aberration? Did Davis' plate disicple evaporate because he was a starter? and what the Hell happened to Arron Hill last year?

it seems like every player has huge questions to answer.

I just don't see them getting the pitching they need thruout the season, but I know they've gone over their 'vegas' total the last few years; however, I just think with an improved Baltimore and Boston winning over 100 games this yr the Jays will have a rough season. The good thing is for all us Canadians we can see them play a ton on Sportsnet, and I just saw Wells down here, he's an arse.

Well she's like this, the Jays are on an incline, not a decline. Shall I say it again, the Jays are on the rise, not falling. How many games did they win last year? It's either going to stay the same, or a slight fall or rise, which is going to easily beat 75.5.
