Trade offer

Hamels and Peavy for Zimmerman 3B and Phillips. I have Jemiele Weeks and Kipnis as backups at 2B and Longo Starting at 3B. As far as P staff Kershaw, Neise, Lilly, Cahill, Baumgardner. Need 30 innings min for all P and scoring is roto. He also has J Zimmerman instead of Peavy. Thoughts?

Take J Zimm instead of Peavy if you can get it and make the deal.

I would say to stay away from Peavy since his injury history is well documented (I dont care how hot he is now) but with the problems surfacing with Zimmerman's shoulder its probably to move on from his also.

PEACE

Yeah I agree on Peavy and the injury history. If Zimmerman could return healthy and put up so decent numbers I might hold off on this deal. This second cortisone shot and probably a dl stint is starting to raise concerns.

I have Peavy right now in one of my leagues and am actively trying to trade him. Asides from his injury history, he doesn't exactly pitch in a pitcher-friendly park. He's put up great numbers fo far but no way do I think he' still as effective in August...and that's if he even manages to stay healthy.
