Trevor Hoffman vs. Ken Griffey Jr.

Both Hall of Famers, I think that's a lock

Do either have a chance to rebound or are both done? Do either have anything left in the tank to help any contending team?

Do either get released here soon? I think Hoffman may be gone soon. I think him and Macha may be taking the same cab out of the ballpark

Griffey is a ****ing legend, I don't give a shit if he takes a little nap or not. he was better then sliced bread in his prime. plus they still have 4 promos involving him this year

Griffey IMO cant turn on a fastball nor can he run so he is toast IMO.

For some reason I think Hoffman has a better chance of getting his act together strictly because he never depended on heat to begin with. If he can get his location together his changeup is still an effective pitch. The tricky part is do you keep sending him out in the 9th waiting for him.

Tough question. I think Griffey may survive longer. The Mariners can put Griffey on the field in certain situations, none of which will cost them a game. Hoffman on the other hand is a relief pitcher. He can and has cost the Brewers more than one game this year. I'm not sure they can continue to let this happen. His stuff has no movement and his location is awful, which leaves him throwing "meat".

I try to avoid betting Brewers unders and sides because I know if Hoffman comes in, I'm dead. Guy cost me 3 times in the same week!

Hoffman should just give back the money they paid him and go away.

I would be so embarassed if I was him. Its sad. He stayed 1 year too long.

i agree that hoffman should hang it up but i think he's better than he's shown.

last season he was 1.83 era, 0.91 whip, .183 baa, 37 saves and almost a k per inning.

how did he get this bad in just one season?

Hoffman basically won me my fantasy league last year, when he hit the wire this year I picked him up hoping to rekindle some magic.

I'm pretty sure but I could be wrong, but didn't he struggle a little bit when he came back last year?

I was surprised when I made a thread recently on Ken Griffey Jr. some of the things said about him. Very little doubt in my mind he is a HOFer.

People said he's not a HOFer? However bad he is now, unless some steroids thing comes up, he's a lock for the HOF
