Trying to come up with a new game/contest/fun MLB activity for this upcoming season

Hey Mallers

I have an idea about a contest for the MLB season that is based upon pitchers only.

I know this is a handicapping website and not really a "fantasy games" place but any insight into this would be much appreciated.

So my idea is based around picking a pitcher or maybe even a pitcher and a reliever a day and keeping track of everyone's
K's, Wins, Losses, Saves, ERA, WHIP, BB's and at the end of the month (and season) every one who participates gets to vote on the "Cy Young" winner and "Pitcher"of the month.

It's very complicated which is why I posted here for any ideas about limitations (only allowed to pick the same starter/reliever twice a month??)

Lots of these games are becoming very popular but they don't have anything using pitchers only.

MLB hitting streak featured here, MLB bankroll featured here, the MLB.com hitting and homerun streak, ESPN's former Diamond Daily game all have a solid fan base and it seems to me like this might take off and be a huge hit.

Pros and cons?? Any reason why this idea would fail?

Thanks for reading this and if you are interested please let it be known here and maybe if we get enough interest we can get a sponsor for the game?!?!

I guess my question would be is how do you do it where everyone just picks top 10 pitchers in baseball. Maybe a cap could help control it

I was thinking you could pick any pitcher you wanted for a given day. I would like to limit the # of times you can use a particular player just so it makes it a little more strategic.

There will also be days when 5-6 "aces" pitch on the same day and that will make it useful to scout match-ups and such.

So my answer is I would put a monthly cap on the pitchers as opposed to a season cap.
