Tuesday MLB Action!!!!!! Dog GOY!

5-3 last night.

Six plays for today, including the best dog play I've seen so far this season......

Giants +130 Good price on SF here, considering how Jiminez has been struggling. He's got a 8.68 ERA and 1.875 WHIP in three home games this year. The Rockies are 6-10 in Ubaldo's career starts against SF. SF is 7-5 in Sanchez's career starts against Colo, and he's prone to walk a lot of guys, just like Jiminez, but Sachez is a strikout machine this season with 55 Ks in 44 innings. The road team is 18-6 in umpire Jeff Nelson's last 24 games, and SF is 7-3 in their last 10 with him.

Reds -130 Garza is 0-1 in his career against Cincy, giving up 5 runs in 6 innings at Wrigley 11 days ago. Volquez won that game, making the Reds 4-0 in his career starts against the Cubs. He has a 1.90 ERA in those 4 games. The Cubs are 3-13 in the last 16 meetings, including 1-5 in their last 6 in Cincy. John Hirschbeck is a great home team ump.

Fish/Mets Under 7.5 -130 Neither pitcher is exactly unhittable, and both have dealt plenty of overs so far this year, but I'm playing the umpire here, just like last night. James Hoye has been one of the best under umps in the game for years. He's 1-10 o/u in the 11 games with totals of 7.5 or lower he's umped since the start of last season. Wind blowing in at more than 10mph tonight.

Tigers -150 Detroit stumbled last night, ending their 7-game winning streak, but the Tigers are 6-1 in Porcello's last 7 home starts. Toronto is 1-4 in Litsch's last 5 road starts. Porcello improving in his last 3 starts, going 2-0 with a 2.37 ERA and 1.211 WHIP. Very strong home-team ump Mike Estabrook is behind the plate. Detroit is on a 7-1 run with Estabrook, while the Jays are 1-5 in their last 6 with him.

Rangers +135 Dog GOY! (No guarantees, but this is the best-looking dog I can remember seeing this season.) Matt Harrison lost his last 3 games this season, each one against a pretty tough team, but he's 2-1 on the road this year, with a 3.24 ERA and 1.260 WHIP. Harrison is a career 2-0 (team 3-0) against the White Sox, with a 2.70 ERA and 1.200 WHIP and shutouts in his last 2 against them. Danks is 0-6 (team 0-8) this season, and 0-2 (team 0-4) at home with a 4.18 ERA and 1.357 WHIP. CWS is 5-16 in his last 21 starts overall. Texas bats with the advantage in this matchup of lefty starters. The Rangers scoring 5.8 runs per game against lefty starters and batting 0.270 as a team against lefties this season. CWS is scoring just 3.6 runs per game against lefty starters this year, and they're batting just 0.232 as a team against lefties overall this season, and an even-worse 0.170 against lefties in their last 10 games. The Rangers are 4-1 in their last 5 games in Chicago, and the White Sox are on a 1-10 run at home. The White Sox are 2-6 as a home fave of -125 to -150 this season. Road teams are 7-1 with home plate ump Jeff Kellogg this season, and the Rangers are 12-3 in their last 15 games with him.

Twinkies/Seamen Under 6.5 -120 All about the pitching. Liriano is 0-4 over/under on the road this season, with a 3.65 ERA and 1.298 WHIP. Hernandez is 1-2 o/u at home, with a 3.57 ERA and 1.235 WHIP. Liriano is 3-6 o/u in 9 career games against Seattle, and Hernandez is 3-8 o/u in 11 career games against Minny, including 0-3 o/u in his last 3 in the series. Hernandez is 2-12 o/u in his last 14 home starts, and 8-23-2 o/u in his last 33 overall. Minny bats have been cold, scoring 2.6 runs per game on 0.219 team batting in their last 7 games. Seattle bats equally as cold, scoring 2.9 rpg and hitting 0.211 as a team in the past week. Seattle is scoring just 2.5 rpg against lefty starters this season.

Leans to Atlanta and Cleveland.

GL Mallers!!!!!!

Exactly, I was just mentioning this, the Sox are on a 1-10 run here.
They look piss-poor gosh awful here. The Chicago River looks great compared to them lately.

Best of Luck Today Mendoza!
We got an over/under matchup though, booooooooo.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Thanks bt, Bobby, ILB, Yankee, Shutouts, CCC, Randy, #5, and Keith! GL all!

I think I worry more about the games I like the most, especially when the line looks way off. All I can figure is that Harrison's numbers in the last 3 games are giving us the value here. I'm seeing between 56% and 88% (!) of bets on Texas at a couple books for this game, and I don't like that. Convinced myself not to overthink it, though, just take the value.

Not one to throw around GOYs, so hope I'm not wrong here.
