Victor a Tiger

Martinez reportedly cut a deal with the Tigers for 4 years for $50,000,000. In reality, he is being paid $2,000,000 for the 4th year as the W Sox offered 3 years @ $48,000,000.

Must like the Tiger uni's better.

I think he liked the a little more...Martinez will receive a four-year deal for $50 million, Martinez made $7.7 million last season.

The Red Sox offered Martinez a choice of a three-year, $36 million deal or a four-year contract for $42 million, according to a major league source.

This puts a gun to the head of Bosox MGMT with Adrian Beltre holding it. Big loss for Redsox Nation.

I figured he would be gone this year. I just don't know how you rely on a catcher who couldn't even throw the ball back to the pitcher.

My only thoughts are Theo has an eye on a big move that will help the offense while getting a sub-par catcher who can throw runners out.
