White Sox - KC Trade

Its reported the White Sox traded Josh Fields and Chris Getz to KC for Mark Teahan. IMO this was done to make it easier to move Ramirez to 2B where he played well 2 years ago and move Beckham to his natural SS position. They had to do something to improve the worst defense in the AL last year.

He has played well against the White Sox in the past. I hope he is an upgrade on defense.

teahen is the archetype average ball player

i think his ops last 3 years has fallen within 5 pts of the league average every year

he's more well known for his blurb in "moneyball" than he is for his performance

It'll be an interesting trade to say the least.....this is basically Getz for Teahan because Fields hasn't done shit for us since all the hype started when Crede was replaced. Go Sox!!

Williams going to try to find some sucker to take Kornerko and his 12 million. Then the Sox will sign Figgins who will be the leadoff hitter they been looking for plus he can play 2b-3b & cf. Sox will be the favs to win division next year with Peavy and that young rotation. .

Williams says Figgins is way out of their price range. They are now back talking to Podsednicks agent. IMO if they trade Konerko they will then have dumped approx. 75-80 HRs and 240 RBIs from last year, plus all leadoff hitters (Wise, Getz, & Podsednick) and stolen bases. Rios and Teahan have no chance to make up for Thome and Dyes HRs and RBIs. What happened to the "Ozzie Ball" we have heard about for so long? Last years O/U was 77, with the current team it will be 62 next year IMO. We have gone backwards.......Chris Getz will have better numbers than Teahan next year....

Com'om man Thome & Dye good ridence I gues Konerko can stick around 1 more year. But Getz is no Teahan and Rios is a better all around player then Dye when he's healthy homers will be down but Sox have a better all around team now. I mean Thome couldn't even play 1st base against N.l teams. Ozzie ball is on the way. Figgins price will come down and he wants to play inr Chicagor
