This has nothing to do with the Fubs or the other threads and I will start any threads I want to start. I'm sure they won't all be gone.

I hope your right, but if the right offer comes along, who knows. Konerko recently said he would "ok" a trade as long as it helped the Sox. The Cards could make a run at Buehrle.

Why would the Sox trade Beuhrle when he hasn't show any signs of declining? The guy is already signed and is a hometown favorite.

Why would the Sox trade Pods and his $25 a game contract? The guy has played great so far and make absolutely no money. Plus, Wise is going back to Triple-A soon.

Dye is most likely gone because of his impending free-agency.

Jenks is most likely gone because he'll get A LOT in return from a team who needs a closer.

Nobody is going to pick up Thome's contract. Who wants a 38 year-old DH who makes A TON of money.

WHOAAAA big guy. I never said you shouldn't start this thread. I was just surprised after all the white soxie fans were telling me I was faked up for saying the clean house was coming and walla, he it comes. The papers are full of info on what Kenny is saying, as are the air waves and just about all the info is from w soxie fans.

Pods..he is gone because he doesn't fit in the future of the W Soxis'

I agree on Dye, Jenks, and Thome. If they have a "white sale", Buehrle would bring several good prospects in return. St Louis would probably "overpay" for him.

Not really buddy. I've stayed pretty consistent. Beurhle is going nowhere. All I said is that Jenks and Dye "might possibly" be traded. That a pretty far shot from agreeing to a fire sale.

Good luck.

What indication has Kenny given for a white flag sale? Was it when he tried acquiring Peavy? Pretty sure he was trading prospects for an immediate starter on that one.

Thome and Dye are free-agents after this season.

The Sox have been talking about trading Jenks and bringing up that Link kid for two years now.

Williams talked about going into a transitional period yesterday in an interview. Its in todays Tribune. He says if it doesn't turn around "real soon" that they will go into a transitional period. I hope they never trade Buehrle.

I read the Tribune today too, but nobody knows what the "transitional period" is.

You figure 2B, SS, and 3B are set for the next five or six years. You also figure that once Quinton comes back, he'll lockdown LF until he retires. AJ is not going any where, Danks, Floyd, and Richard are starters for now and the future.

You also need to figure that if the Sox have a "white flag sale", they have players to replace the current players. Who would replace Beuhrle in the rotation? Poreda is already up and Broadway was just traded. Jeff Marquez has an ERA floating near 14 in Triple-A.

They already offered Richard and Poreda plus 2 other prospects for Peavy. If they do a white sale, I think one of the first ones to go will be AJ. They got Castro as his backup til Flowers is ready. About 1/3 of the way into next year AJ will be able to veto a trade. If they wan't to get out from under his contract they must move him before then. I can see them trying to package Richard, Poreda, Fields, and a prospect for Bedard and Beltre IF they can turn it around fast.
