Who really cares more, the fans or media?

I know we're all sick of steroid talk but

would all these players be in the HOF if the fans voted?

Barry Bonds
Sammy Sosa
Mark McGwire
Roger Clemens
Manny Ramirez
Alex Rodriguez

This was a debate on local talk radio. Do the fans really care? Is it the media? Are the voters stubborn?

or is it just simple as none of these will ever make the hall?

Bottom line Jack, IMO, Fans care, but not as much as the media.


I think all those guys would be in if the fans voted except Sosa and McGwire. ID vote for the rest.


BUt in reality to your last question, they will not all get in. IMO Sosa and MgWire will never, maybe Rose but obv for diff reasons

The players in the hall of fame is for the media, the actual building is for the public. Been there a few times and its a great place to visit, but I don't think I actually care about who is actually in or not. But yes if the fans voted I think every one of those guys would be in

theyre all frauds who knows how good they would have been without the roids. Check sosa's stats he sucked without roids. Rose should be in hall but not allowed to manage. ther's rumors that a rod was doin roids in high school. Roids is a huge, huge advantage and cheating, none should get in. Bud Selig is to blame for the entire mess with Fehr being complicite. They should do olympic style blood tests seven times a year. Many just switched to HGH. By the way, Pujols looks dirty to me. A lot of Dominican players have been caught, or implicated. In person, he looks very big. It's a shame that when someone is that good you start to wonder.

IMO every player on that list should be in hof. Steroids only get you so far....how many no name minor/major league players used juice.....didn't help them much.

Rose deserves to get in, IMO.

The others do not, period.

Just because something was happening in the league, does not mean it should be overlooked. There are rules in place to prevent this. I do think that Bud Selig holds a greater responsibility than the players. It was/is his job to protect the intergity of the game and he did not.

Just because a few guys cheated does not mean everyone was cheating. They caught 104 guys a few years ago but did not release all the names. They should so that those that DID NOT cheat, can clear their name.
