Question Will Tampa or St Louis catch Boston or Atlanta?

Who has better chance?

I believe if Tampa catches Boston, it will be biggest choke in September in history of game.

What do you think will happen?

Cardinals will. 6 of 9 final games are home vs mets and cubs. Last 3 vs Astros

Really hope Boston chokes.

Atlanta needs to get it going but both Boston and Atlanta will win their wild cards.

I'm getting nervous.

Hope the Braves can hang on. Cardinals are playing really well right now. Would not surprise me if they did catch up. Atlanta has 3 rookies in the rotation right now and the bullpen gas is on E. Cardinals a favorable schedule and Braves still have 3 against Philly.

I think Tampa Bay will catch Boston. Better pitching and better coaching.

not sure about that....angels choking down the stretch and letting seattle claim the division in 1995 (which then led to seattle not moving out of seattle) ranks up there

I hope the Braves get rolling. Injuries have hurt this team. Even if they get in they lose in the first round unless these injuries recover.

According to Elias, If St. Louis comes back from 9 games back in Sept., it will be biggest choke of Sept. I think teams have choked big leads in Aug/Sept

that i didn't know...i do recall the angels leading by 13 games and shit the bed and lost the division...i guess it was from sometime in august....but since that played a role in deciding the locale of a team, that is the number 1 imo

...joe maddon was bench coach on that 1995 team and the tampa bay broadcasters were talking about it last week

I think the Cards have a decent shot at catching the Braves.Atlanta was awesome in August before the injuries starting piling up on the starting pitchers.I think the Cards have a much better shot against the Philly if they make it.I still don't think you can count out the Giants just yet.

I really like Tampa to win the AL wild card.I like the Rays starters in a short series and if they get in and play the Tigers that would be an awesome pitching match-up.

It's good to see some close races esp. since it looked liked only the AL west was gonna be the best race 2 weeks ago.

I think the Cards have a chance, playing good ball at the moment. Tampa has the Yanks quite a few times so it will be a challenge. Bo Sox are doing all they can to give it away though..should be interesting

Love how excuses are being made for the Braves and their injuries. Every team has to deal with them and every team now has access to their entire roster now that September call ups happened. Step up and show how great your GM is at finding players to fill in when a starter goes down!!

Oh and my favorite big time choke...the 2007 Mets.

I don't know. Teams that lose ground balls "in the lights" and throw two strike meatballs are not destined to do well.

I thought the Mets of 2007 and/or 2008 were the biggest chokers.

2007 Mets were 7 games up in September. Cards were 9 down in Sept. Mets were a late collapse though. They all big chokes.

I think it was All star break, so not directly the worst due to being pre-september...but wasn't Boston in 78 up 14 at the all star break and the Yanks won on Bucky's HR in the tiebreak game??...to me that was worst collapse...

Hoping Tampa(now that they hooped my future bet on under wins) can catch the Redsox, would be sweet.

..But Jose hanging on to win the HR title would be even sweeter with that future bet...but he making me sweat big time.
