Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner will be making his third postseason start and fourth appearance in tonight's game. He has posted a 1-0 record and 3.55 ERA in those outings, tossing two innings of scoreless relief in Game 6 of the NLCS against the Phillies in his last appearance. The left-hander garnered a 7-6 mark and 3.00 ERA with 86 strikeouts and only 26 walks in 18 starting assignments during the regular season. Bumgarner will be making his first career appearance versus the Rangers tonight.

Texas was all smiles in the clubhouse after picking up the franchise's first-ever win in the Fall Classic and moved the team's record to 8-0 in this year's playoffs when they allow three or fewer runs. "This is a great win for us," outfielder Jeff Francoeur said. "This is how we've been winning in the postseason - get the big hit early, get our crowd into it and have the pitching do the rest." The Rangers power returned to the lineup after being absent in the first two games, with home runs by Josh Hamilton and Mitch Moreland.
