Worst hitter in MLB

Not worst player, but worst non-pitcher hitter in MLB

I nominate Nick Punto. Makes a TON of plays in the field, but it's painful to watch him at the plate this season

You can have him in there when you have a 2B hitting over .200 and Crede at third, but their infield offense other than Morneau has to be at the bottom of baseball

Your offense is not nearly as bad as the CWS defense. The worst defense in the league hurts more than a bad offense.

Nick Punto might not hit a lick but a run prevented is better than a run produced in my book any day of the week and thats why Punto is a fine major leaguer by me. Alexei Casilla is quite pathetic with the bat also and his fielding isnt great this year either.

Tiger fans bitch all of the time about our offense but when a 1/3 of your lineup is strictly in there for defense (Laird, Inge & Everett) and the corner outfielders dont produce what they should then the offense will bog down on most nights.

On the other hand it has made the Tigers better though because their left side of the infield and up the middle on most nights produces great defense and it has shown up with the pitchers.

Look at how much better the Nats became when they actually got a real CF in Morgan to help out their defense.....it magically makes the pitchers seem better.

PEACE

Agree 100% and witnessed this last year with the Tigers who could hit the cover off the ball and couldnt field a lick.
