Just saw the play and all I can say is...wow. Seriously, that is by far one of the top worst calls I've ever seen in MLB. The ONLY thing I can see on teh replay is that the ump thought the tag hasn't been made. The runner doesn even reach the plate on the slide...it's only when the the runner kinda skips on the plate does the ump make teh safe call.

I can't imagine what else it could be...

I sat here and watched every single pitch of that baseball game and my jaw is dropped. Had no action on the game, but rooting for the Bucs. This is the only evidence you need for instant replay. There is absolutely no disputing that McKenry tagged him. Disgusting. What a clown.

Yeah.....basically cheated the Pirates out of a legit chance to win the game and its a shame really. I guess the ump got tired and wanted to go home. Very unprofessional.

PEACE

I wanted it to keep going too. Was about to get even more crazy with starters pitching out of the pen. The ball beat Lugo to the plate by two steps, and this clown is gonna suggest that the swipe tag missed him. He's gonna feel like a complete jackass when he sees that one on replay. I thought Hurdle was gonna lay his ass out.

wasn't too tired to see a bat in the way and pick it up...most umpires don't pick them up...but he did...and to not see a dude give himself up when he was in clear position to make the call, it is just wretched

Listening to this asshole Lugo after the game..."I know I was safe." Yeah...you were in there clean. It's so great to have meaningful baseball in Pittsburgh again. It's been a loooong time since I've been fired up about a baseball game at the end of July. My hatred for the Braves stemming back to the early 90s is all coming back to me now.
